Steve Jobs
by Walter IsaacsonA mammoth biography of the man responsible for the computer you are probably reading this on. This book tells all that you could ever want to know about a man’s life and a whole lot of stuff you don’t need to know told in a well structured and easy-to-read way. Walter Iasscson is a great story teller who did not hit lightly on tender things. And yet he keeps you very much in the middle of the road. His voice is so faint yet he guides you through vast amounts of material. I very much recommend this book. It tells of a life of a volatile man, who was always in the hunt for high art in spiritual and technological life. And he got all of it. But alas, it was a life much too short. And he knew it. Read it and know that anything is possible, that it’s okay to shake your arms and change the color of the sky. This is your life. Use it while you can.
Steve Jobs was published in 2011 by Simon and Schuster, New York.
